In Italy, during lunch or dinner we drink just cold drinks, that is to say water, wine, beer, sodas and so on.
We don’t drink coffee, cappuccino or similar while we eat. We don’t even drink fruit juices or milk. They are all banned!
In Austria I was served a pizza (let’s call it pizza but…well…) together with an apricot juice.
In Germany I saw in an Italian restaurant people drinking coffee or cappuccino while they were having supper. The same happened in UK and US.
We drink cappuccino almost only in the morning. We give a strange look at people that drink cappuccino after 10.00 a.m. actually…. We drink coffee all day long, but never while we are eating.
