Today i bumped into this news that really disgusted me.
In Singapore there is a restaurant cooking carbonara with synthetic chicken!
This is a real insult to Italy and our traditions. I can’t understand this usage of the name of one of our signature dishes to indicate a recipe that no Italian would even dare to approach!
Nobody would put chicken in pasta, moreover!
Be careful to what restaurants offer.
Another suggestion: try and accept Italian food the way it should be. I often listen to the frustration of Italian chefs abroad that, in order to sell dishes to local people, must compromise adding ingredients that in Italy you’d never use. Try recipes the original way.
